This sewing box was originally created by Maison Sajou exclusively for the magazine Marie Claire Idées. It's now available in our catalogue.
This sewing box contains two trays, one of which is removable. The lid is decorated with a large "Boîte à Couture" (sewing box) label. On the inside lid there are a Fil Au Chinois label and two Sajou thread labels.
Detail of contents :
- a nickel-plated thimble,
- a pair of scissors,
- a red Sajou dressmakers' tape measure with a ring on each end,
- a small, red seam ripper,
- 15 Sajou sewing needles booklet,
- a floral motif box of 200 dressmakers' extra-fine,
- another empty Sajou floral motif box,
- six randomly chosen thread cards,
- six cocoons of polyester sewing thread: orange, pistachio green, royal blue, pink, violet and red. Threy have Fil Au Conscrit labels. Each cocoon contains about 150 metres of thread.
- two Fil Au Chinois linen thread star cards, one black and one white (20 metres),
- three cotton thread spools with Sajou labels, red, white and black (200 metres each),
- a card of Laine Saint-Pierre darning wool (red),
- four floral motif cards for ribbons or thread (colours may vary).
It is covered with a blue and white paper, identical to those used for our Mercerie vintage style storage boxes.
Size of box: length, 30 cm - width, 12 cm - height, 5.5 cm.
This box and all the products it contains are MADE IN FRANCE.
Once you have used up your cocoons, small sachets of three colours are available to replace them.
