Box with lid to embroider with a Breton man, in the style of the small treasure boxes of yesteryear.
The "miniature" effect is obtained by embroidering with two threads over one thread of fabric, and by using half-points, otherwise known as half cross stitch.
The box is orange and the surround is covered with a delightful shagreen paper, used in the past to cover sewing kits.
Dimensions of box: height 3,5 cm - diametre 7,3 cm. Cover and base in metal. Interior in metal coloured cardboard.
Contents: a piece of sky blue linen and a needle, a grey cardboard disc, a round box and its' cover, pattern chart in colour plus mounting instructions.
The threads are not supplied: such a small amount is needed that you can easily find enough on old skeins of thread.
Extremely easy to mount, it is advisable to use a glue gun for a long lasting result. However, if you don't have one, we would be delighted to finish off your work for you. You will find the necessary information on the instruction sheet.
All our boxes to embroider now come in our beautifull new floral motif packaging, pink or yellow accordin to availability.
Discover the other motifs: animals, geometric motifs, crown of flowers and other traditionnal French costumes.
These boxes can be matched with the small and large pin boxes. They are also available ready-made, subject to availability.
