This silver thimble is a veritable jewel!

It is made using the lost-wax technique (also known by the French name "cire perdue"). A mould is made after the development of a prototype. The silver is poured into the mould and once set, each thimble is reworked by hand, refining the slightest detail.

This thimble weighs 9 grammes of 935 °/oo silver. It has two hallmarks - one for the silver and one for the silversmith that made it.

It has a slightly splayed form, measuring 1.7cm at the base and 1cm at the top.

Presented in a lovely black square box, the lid is marked with a large "S" in silver. The interior of the box is covered with a grey, ruffled Sajou fabric.

This product is sold exlusively on our website and in our Paris shop.

I love my silver thimble. It is beautiful to look at, but it also fits well and is of a good weight to use, not thin but not too thick. A treasure.
